Hello,
I have a 4 and an 8 year old. What is the going hourly rate for an after-school nanny who will pick the kids up from school and take care of them until I get home from work. Would be about 20 hrs per week. Thanks! |
There is no 'going hourly rate'. You might want a high-school student looking for a little extra spending money. Or you might be able to afford an educated professional with teaching experience.
Find the person you want for your children, and ask what her rates are. They can be from 10-30+ per hour. There is no standard price. Good luck in your search. |
I agree. There is no going rate per say, but I'm doing the same thing starting this week. An hour a week with our regular babysitter. It beats the alternative. |
I did this for a family in Georgetown for a year or so. I was 27 at the time. I had a bachelor's degree and worked at a hotel in sales. I found the ad on craigslist. I didn't have any child experience, but...they trusted me. Good luck with your search, but the job is perfect for a recent college grad who need some extra cash! |
