With the booming speech delay issues out there, you have to wonder what kind of language skills these children were having modeled for them.

I agree that illegal is stretching it, but there’s no doubt that a non-English speaking nanny will not command the same level of pay as a fluent English speaker. I’m quite sure that was part of the equation when OP was choosing her nanny.

Is then what’s your take on daycares that are Spanish immersion?
Or countries where children learn more than one language as the norm?

"Spanish immersion" day-cares (NOT pre-schools) just means they hire low-educated Spanish speakers who can barely speak English.
