No need to mix credit reports.

This is what we have done when there was time to get petty cash. My MB’s name is on the card and I have her pin in case I need to use the chip. In this day and age it’s really unnecessary to put a nanny’s name on a card even for long term arrangements. If I were a small business owner I could doing so for a manager. For instance when I was a director for a preschool the owner gave me access to a card with my name on it.

No way! It's asking for issues with the card company if they find out. Petty cash is fine, but I prefer reimbursement.

They had no right to use your name and SS# to obtain credit. This is serious and I would seek legal advice.

Any update? Did you talk to your NF, OP?

Using my employer’s card ruined my credit score. Flat out tell them you want cash or debit card. Politeness not necessary

The card is supposed to be used by the person whose name is on the card.

Make them take you off their cards. They need to give you debit card to a small account they open for your use on just for job

I've used my employers credit cards for gas and other outings. However, I've never heard such, be a-were everyone who smiles in you face doesn't always means you well.

Typically, if you’re an authorized user on a credit card, it’s reported to the credit bureaus and it affects your credit either in a good way or a bad way. I asked my family for a prepaid card because they could never remember to leave money when they say they would and I’ve had plans with the kids and end up using my money. They put money on it and when it’s gone it’s gone, until they upload more money. I wouldn’t want to be an authorized user on anyone’s credit card that is not my spouse- and even that would take a while ?
