For parents who have a nanny that watches two kids RSS feed

I paid our college nanny 18 per hour for 2 kids. Our slightly older and more experienced nanny was paid 20 per hour. My 2 neighbors who employ nannies pay 17 and 18 per hour. I'm in Potomac. My sister in Arlington pays $19 per hour for 2 kids, but they also pay the nanny's taxes.

We pay our nanny $21/hour for 2 kids, older one in preschool until 3 (nanny usually there from 8-6, so 3 hours with both kids). But we also pay true overtime for hours over 40 and guarantee 50 hours (and use an average of 51-52), so the real rate works out to ~$24/hour if you don't pay over time. Capitol Hill.

If this is the average rate of nanny, I think they are earning enough..

That's a long drive to pick her up from school. Do you reimburse mileage?

PP didn't mean it's a two hour drive. She meant the nanny watches both children from 4pm-6pm.

Yes, she takes care of both of them for two hours, it's a 15min walk from our house.
