I personally wouldn't care about the license expiring. That has happened to me before too. But if I told you that I would be back before the end of the week, and I got several emails from you by Wednesday, I would be pretty turned off. It isn't my job to quiet down your overactive superego.

OP here. I did drop the ball about the license. It's only a week expired. It's a difficult situation because I'm am currently in court due to having my identity stolen ( am open credit card). I have to change my social, so I may not be able to renew until I get a new SS.

I only reached out because that MB asked me to reach out when the background checks come in. I was simply following what she asked.

My question is due to the lack of response and re-editing, is it safe to assume they're not interested. Should I follow-up once the criminal part is processed ( in a day or so), or just not reach out? I also wonder if I should write them that I'm no longer interested due to lack of communication on their part. What would you do?

You say over and over that you aren't interested. Let it go. Don't write any more. Don't reach out. Let it go and move on.

Op here. I found out she stopped the run of my background check. That is why it didn't process. The company itself told me so. She also closed the job. I think it's ridiculous that she asked me to write her when the background check was in, but then didn't respond.

I think she had ample evidence that you weren't going to be a fit, so she didn't bother w/ the background check and now she is just hoping you'll go away already.

Well clearly she thought I was going to be a fit when she initially conducted a background check. She just emailed. She decided to choose another candidate because I can only give a year before I enter into grad school.

Op here. I don't know where you heard that, but it is possible. Not anyone can get one though. You need have documentation for proof of why you need a new SS ( identity theft, domestic violence, etc.). It's a long process and not easy to do. Thankfully I have the help of my lawyer. Most people just get Life Lock, but when you have an immediate family member using your SS, you have to change it.

I didn't lie. I didn't realize until I ran it that it was expired. I told her that. It was an honest mistake. How am I drama? The fact that I did just as she asked, or the fact that I had my identity stolen. Sorry I can't leave such a privileged little life like you do. Plus, I can't get it renewed until I get my new SS. Until I get an offer, I am not divulging that information because it's not their business. Plain and simple!

Didn't you have to look at your license to enter the information? You should have waited a day and got it renewed before you decided to run it and try to play it off after the fact.

What don't you comprehend. I noticed it was expired when I went to run it. Due to needing to change my SS, I can't renew it until I get a new SS. I told MB that is was expired. She new I ran the check with an expired license.

They mail you a notice. I did it online for my last one. Simple. You probably have to retest.
