Then you need to firmly explain why you've accepted another offer over hers.

Hush up. The only one here who needs to explain anything is YOU. Why don't you have anything better to do?

Who the fuck are you? Go crawl into a hole plz

Huge red flag...Even if you were not technically the only adult present when you were there, it still was YOUR time. Time that you reserved for them only...So you should be paid for it. Every second of it.

Honestly this sounds like the job from hell to me. If you actually take it, you will be on here daily complaining about how miserable you are.

Tell this family that your decision if FINAL, you are not accepting this job and if they continue contacting you over and over, this will fall into the ugly category of harassment. And they don't want to go there.

I will never understand why people argue with you when you tell them "no". Like guys who argue with you when you break-up with them. As if them being a dick and fighting with you is going to change your mind in their favor!!!

You are lucky to have seen their true colors, OP. Ignore them and block their calls.

"Dear X, I am flattered by your interest in me, but as I have said, I have formally accepted another job. I found a position that offered the full package of benefits and compensation that I was seeking (and as we discussed when I interviewed with you.) I wish you all the best in your search but please do not contact me again."

Why are you so mad at your life.

That is our resident Fat Troll. She always pops up here although she has admittedly never been nor employed a nanny. If you call her "fat" she seems to go away for awhile.

A trial day means precisely what it says TRIAL, meaning it is a test to see if it a fit for BOTH parties.

Tell her NO but do not accept 4 hours pay for 7 hours work. I would take her to Small Claims. I work and I get paid.

"I have accepted another offer with a family offering a compensation package including guaranteed pay, PTO, blah de blah. I lost interest in the position with your family because you offered NONE of those benefits, and because you refused to pay me for 3 hours of my trial day. Please stop contacting me. I will not change my mind."

No, I will not stop with the "fat" business on this forum. I have been around long enough to see what works - and calling this troll "fat" does seem to send her away for long periods of time. No one is as bad as this troll. Trust me on that.
