For nannies who think they need to paid more than nannies do get paid RSS feed

I am a sixty year old nanny who is had worked in another field for 25 years and took early retirement. I guarantee you that I graduated from a better school (undergrad and graduate school) than you did and earned more than you ever have. I happen to love being a nanny. I was a nanny the year after I graduated from college in Europe and knew that I wanted to go back to being a nanny at some point. I plan to keep being a nanny until I am 65.

You are quite behind the times, OP, and our world is changing rapidly. And I feel very sorry for your poor little boy to get such a cruel and incorrect message from you.

Yes, Troll, you have posted this on different forums before.

My God, you are a sad and dull woman. Get a life.

Nannies, if you don't like your MBs or what you are getting paid as nannies, go get yourself an education and do something else. You go out and get that job that MBs have that pays $100k. Then you can go out and hire a nanny and pay whatever you think they deserve.

Actually, the garbage man from my hometown grew his business slowly over the years by providing exceptional service at fair rates. He got more trucks, more routes, and is doing very well for himself. He earns 6 figures a year in an area where the cost of living is much less, owns a gorgeous home, and he even vacationed in Europe last summer. Sounds like he's doing alright.

Your post is really rich, OP, considering the subject line that I can't even understand. What is that supposed to say?

OP, you are sadly misinformed. My mother got her master's degree and was a teacher. Her students never tired of telling her how their garbage man fathers earned more than she did.

I have an associate's degree. I earn more than my cousin who has a master's degree and is a news reporter, and more than my close friend who has an MFA and is a contract graphic designer. Formal education isn't everything.

You're an asshole and a troll. You have posted this exact same thing in the general forum.

Please stop being such a pathetic bore.

Are you telling me to shut up?

I make more than my husband and yes, I make way more than $6 figures.

To what you said, OK. You keep living your life your way.

I'm an MB, not a nanny. 100k isn't much, sweetie. I make $200k + and my DH makes 600k +. We have a combined met worth of $8 million. We have a PT nanny and pay her $23 per hour, health insurance, gym membership, and a car. Pay your nanny well. They are clearly the one raising your children.

Not everyone wants a middle management job in an office all day, OP, especially for only $100,000 a year. Such a low price to sell your soul.

I have a college degree from a better school, I am sure, than you attended and love being a nanny.

Please get yourself a little life and stop trolling.

You must be living in a shack because I alone make 7 figures but we do not pay the nannies gym membership, higher than average rate, etc. in other words in the DC area, your numbers don't buy money to burn

I made a typo. Our combine net worth is $18 million and growing. My husband owns a very successful business. We definitely do not live in a shack. We live in a 4 bedroom high rise in Manhattan, and have two vacation homes. We are living very well, thank you!

Despite the both of you, you've managed to create a wonderful human being. You pay me to be with him when you could do it for free. Thank you.

Given your income shouldn't you be paying your nanny better. Funny how you comment about the combined net worth.. it is mostly your husbands. Maybe you should try raising your own kids too.

+1 I wouldn't trade my job as a nanny for any other job in the world.

We pay her very well. She only works 15 hours a week. I work PT and my mom watches our son for two days. My husband makes great money but majority our net worth is mine that I not obtained before marriage.
