Why would you deserve a rate hike for fulfilling your job responsibilities? Presumably you were savvy enough to ask if transporting kids was part of the job before you took the job. The IRS allowance is more than adequate to cover wear and tear on your car. |
This is bizarre. You don't consider driving kids to be part of a nanny's job (aside from whose car is used)? Most nannies get annoyed when they aren't allowed to drive the kids! |
The rate hike is from my insurance company. Whatever I charge you for taxi service, needs to cover my increased costs. Lots of families have an extra car for this purpose. So no, please do not assume the nanny's vehicle may be used for your kids, until you check her insurance coverage. Otherwise, your kids will NOT be covered in case of anything. |
Don't you understand the required car insurance rider? |
I can't believe how mean people can be!Do you have a nanny?I really hope not!I would feel very sorry for her for being working for you! |
She's nothing but a troll poster. |
As part of my working agreement my employers reimburse me at the current IRS mileage rate at the end of each month. I track miles in a notebook & turn in the sheet at the end of the month. Also, they pay to have my car detailed every 6 months which is something I negotiated for in my annual review. |
Considering how sloppy some kids are, having the parents pay for your routine car detailing was an EXCELLENT idea. |
I agree!!!Great idea! |
