No a judgement would be dumb bitch is bad with her money she should go to hell or be hit by strain what a horrible person she is. Fact op stated she needed this check to go on this trip. Fact if you need a check to cover a trip or you will be in a pickle the trip is not a financially sound choice. Yes she is free to go on the trip, doesn't make her choice a wise financial choice because she wants it a chooses it. Been there done that and wish I had made better financial choices earlier and had heeded others. |
You ARE making a judgment when you say she can't afford it. 1) that was not her question, and so your advice/judgment is unsolicited, and 2) what someone considers a sound financial decision will differ greatly from person to person. I really don't understand why you need to stoop to name calling. You sound bitter. |

Her question was based on the fact that if she couldnt deposit her check she would have a problem paying for her trip, in the same week.
OP Having a couple of weeks money in your bank account is not the same as having a huge savings account or a retirement account. Its hard to have a lot of savings when you dont make a lot of money. If its too hard to have a couple of weeks income stacked up in your account though then I think you make a budget cut somewhere so that you do. What happens if MB has an emergency and cant get your check to you on time? If I didnt have savings and was genuinely paycheck to paycheck then I wouldnt be renting a car and paying for motel/hotel costs. |

It would be cool if people would proofread their posts before hitting send. I get that a lot of us are posting from phones but is that a good excuse for idiocy, especially when half of the posts are so intent on calling out someone else's stupidity? Real quick, since these seem like the top problems for so many:
advice v advise - 2 different words/meanings than v then - again, 2 different words/meanings definitely - no A anywhere in this word (when spelled correctly) |
| For the love of god, I make $75,000 a year (as a director of a childcare center, NOT a nanny) and there are some times when I need that paycheck exactly when it comes. I have the money in the bank, but it's spoken for because the mortgage is due, car insurance, whatever, so yes, I need my paycheck exactly when I do. I have 8 months of savings in an account for a rainy day, I have a retirement account and continue to put money in, but if I get hit with a larger doctor bill that is unexpected, or whatever, I am eager for payday. That's the truth. |
