Lol this is hilarious. And no in the real world your paycheck isn't deducted if you are paid salary- plus everything she is saying is true. In the end sometimes being a nanny is more effort than its worth because you are constantly cutting corners on yourself for the benefit of a job that isn't even legitimate half the time- no benefits, no vacations, no stability, no professionalism. Those jobs are few and far between since everyone who can't afford one decided they would like to have one too. You have no idea how many families have said, "I can't pay more because then I would be working to pay you." LOL. Right. You are paying $30,000 a year for daycare anyway for a few kids so cry me a river.... Don't believe it!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm in the process of changing careers. I love caring for kids as , a nanny and for the most part have had great experiences, but I want to be challenged in a different way, and I want to have more control over my career than I do as a nanny.
