Yes, for us it would work. We were talking with someone who was going to be attending night school but it fell through at the last moment so we are open to the idea. The challenge would be what to do with the kids when they are on school vacations. One thing I never understood is why you would pay a nanny less than a nanny/housekeeper? What about the market am I missing? Thanks to anyone for their insight.

For me much like your former candidate OP I take night classes and I have a coming semester where my Physics and Chem may not be offered in the evening. SO my position is being able to stick with night classes, and take one (maybe two) course in the morning. Your previous candidate didn't have breaks much like school vacations? (Summer, Spring, Winter, Thanks giving, New years etc) or was it the single random days for teacher's conferences?

I feel confident now, I think I will try to start a job search to feel out the market I rather know sooner than later so my family has enough time to find a nanny during the summer influx.

I have been a nanny for several years but only with light housekeeping. I'm trying to figure out how to switch to the nanny/housekeeper role, because I am a student and with children in school it would be so much easier. But I am afraid that I would not be hired because of lack of housekeeping.

I have always looked at this site, but never posted so sorry if I am posting incorrectly. Whoever posted about being a nanny/housekeeper and taking some classes while the kids are in school, this is exactly the schedule we are looking for in the fall (August) and would love to talk to you further about this if you are interested.
