Fair to ask nanny to shift hours once in a while

I firmly believe that having a couple of date night/emergency sitters is a good idea. Relying on one person to meet all of your childcare needs forces your nanny to accept work hours that she needs or wants for herself, and leaves you in the lurch if she is sick, takes vacation, etc.
