Even though she (attempted) to call DB/MB that she was ill and couldn't work?

If the nanny got deathly sick in less than 24 hours and absoloutely couldn't make it to the stop then she should have been in the hospital.

The parents need to be more available however. Or atleast have a grandparent or guardian to be available just incase they're needed for backup.

Every family should have a list of neighbors willing to help out each other. And what a fine example for the children, of how the world should be.

Yes. I wouldhave fired the nanny. You said the nanny called them, but she did even send them a text too, so let them know'hey, pick up, it's an emergency!"?...

Also, I have been very ill, vomited ill and still went to an internship because at the end of the day, rain or shine, they're counting on me. Looking back, I'm glad I did..it shows commitment and in the real world excuses don't count. I'm a nanny by the way!

Nanny, should have put on her big girl panties, tried calling as she was on her way and picked him up and continued to get a hold until someone answered.

Lesson learned I guess.

Ok so let's say a nanny was deathly sick and couldn't come. Lets say shes in the hospital. Would you still fire after finding out what happened?

Parents are at fault for not responding to nanny contacting them several times

I love when parent ignore the nannies call on purpose.
I hope the nanny found better people to work for.
