Birkenstock Arizona or Florida?

I'm debating between these two because lately I can't stand my flip flops. In fact I can't stand anything between my toes.
Which should I pick?
And which color? My wardrobe is mostly basic colors and I like to accent with accessories so any color will fit. I'm bored with plain black and don't like dark brown. I'd love to hear you suggestions. Maybe in sand?

Arizona in a metallic color.

Any color you like will be fine. The shoes themselves are so frumpy and ugly the color really doesn't matter. Just get what you like, its not like the shoes are going to make your outfit work.

I faced this choice, went with Florida, and regretted it. With the backstrap, you have to undo and redo too many buckles. The Arizona are slip-on, slip-off. Worth the convenience.

A lot of "hip" people are buying them in white. I really like the metallic silver Arizona. Love the Gizahs but since you don't like the toe thing, silver or maybe patent leather Arizonas are your best bet. And don't listen to the haters. They have no idea what they're talking about.

It's also worth at least trying Gizeh or Mayari; I thought I hated thong sandals because of how flip flops feel, but I've been wearing Gizehs for a few years, and it's totally different. Color availability is much wider for these styles, I assume because designers really pushed the Arizona style this year.

Go with Arizona. I bought some with the "soft" footbed and they are great for someone with foot problems. You may want to try both the hard and soft footbeds to see which you like best. I like the sand color myself.

The Gizeh's make my feet look nicer, but I also hate the toe thong--but I have the "Birkies" (cheaper version) so the originals may be more comfortable.

Get a weird color, like green or purple. I had red ones and the cheerful color helped make them not look like Fred Flintstone shoes.

I am having to make the same decision! My gut says Arizona and I have tanner skin so I would probably get them in black or dark brown otherwise if you are paler, maybe try a brown shade or even gray. And if you get Florida please DO NOT get them in black if you are white.. not a good look

OP here with an update.
I ended up buying the Arizona in tobacco color because they don't really come in any cute color in real leather and I didn't want black. I might but the gizeh in one of the happy colors.
If any of the readers are considering ordering online, you will need to size down. I'm a solid 9 and always wear regular width, never narrow. I had to buy the Arizonas in size 8 narrow. Just FYI.

No. I'm not.
