What are your 5yo girl’s favorite toys?

Truly at a loss for what to get our just turned 5yo DD for Christmas and relatives won’t stop asking. We have an older DD so we have so much stuff already from American Girl and Barbie/LOL to play kitchens, dress up clothes and more.

What do/did your 5yo girls love to play with these days? Maybe it will give me some new ideas!

Mine really enjoys little craft/activity kits or sticker books so I just ask for those. The craft kids (jewelry making, clay, foam sculptures) always come in handy when she needs something to do. She is starting to like Lego kits as well but I have to help her with them.

Buttlerfly kit. (Maybe better for spring)

Craft kits where the end product can stick around—e.g. bird house worked well for us.

Magnitiles

Paint by stickers books

Subscription to highlights magazine

Sofia mouse book series
Ralf and motorcycle books series
Where’s Waldo

Locked diary

Pop it bag in which to put random stuff.

Carrier for baby doll

Fort building kit

Marble run

Instrument (and lessons).

Nice art kit.

Cool play dough accessories

Various magnetic toys—google “magnetic men toys”. My kid LOVES these. We bring to restaurants and she is enthralled for house .

Mine still loves babydolls and stuffies to play elaborate pretend games.

Magnatiles always.

Coloring, painting, beading, and other crafting kits. Painting rocks was a bigger hit than I thought it would be.

Simple board games and card games (Uno, Shoots and ladders, connect four, Candyland, Monopoly Junior, Jenga, trouble).

Legos, fuse beads, tablet, art supplies, gift cards for experiences like a play. Not saying these are all good ideas but they’re things our DD has mentioned!

My nearly 5 year old's Christmas list is:

New dollhouse
Real makeup
A watch
Magic Mixin Pixlings (???)
Roller skates

(she's also getting a bracelet-making kit and books)

NP. Could you share which roller skates? I’m looking for ideas. Thanks!

I agree w arts/crafts type kits. My daughter loves that type of stuff: get one where she can make jewelry, paint rocks, do those sticker mosaics, paint suncatchers. We had one where you make your own snow globe that my kids especially liked.

That or more active gear such as a foam balance beam or tumbling mat if she likes gymnastics, one of those indoor light up soccer balls/goals set, mini trampoline, etc.

Another vote for craft kits. On my daughter's list is a kit to paint your own garden stepping stone, make a light up lamp with a unicorn scene inside that we assemble, make your own puffy stickers, paint sun catchers to hang in the windows, make your own wand, paint kindness pebbles to leave around the neighborhood, etc.

Magnatiles - some of the accessory packs with the unique shapes like hexagons, etc or the car pack, to expand the creative options.
