Privacy film on shower door

Is this possible? If you've done it, is it best to put it on the inside of the shower door or the outside of the shower door.

I am trying to "hide" the interior of the shower. I've also considered acid etching, but the glass is already installed so figure that would be hard after the fact.

Any guidance appreciated!

I would think a privacy film would eventually bubble due to all the humidity that builds up over time. I guess you could just re-do the film every year or so though. Or maybe install a curtain rod on the inside, with a nice high quality curtain. Is this a guest bathroom? What is the setting here.

The inside gets a lot more scrubbing. How well would film hold up there?

I would think outside would be better? Not the same but we have privacy film on our bathroom windows, and it's been fine (2 years so far).

I know you can do this and it will definitely help hide the bath/shower/tile situation.

My (apparently shy with his own wife) FIL put up a swirly monet art privacy film in their newly renovated bathroom. DH and I were pretty shocked- it was a gorgeous renovation but then suddenly has this weird plastic shower-curtain like flat vinyl tablecloth like latex on the whole glass wall. I kind of startled and looked and MIL and she just rolled her eyes and shook her head. I asked if he was wanting the privacy for himself or if this was a hint that he didn't want to see her naked and she laughed told me she wasn't sure so she's cringing her way through it being there. It also is red/yellow colours in a white/pale blue bathroom so is actually a little more startling than actual nudity would be and looks like a crime scene. It totally covers the beautiful stone/tile in their shower area so I know it would work for you. Just choose something that looks good.

I am about to try that! Putting it up today and I can’t wait to see it up.

Improper cleaning of dirt and grease particles prior to installation causes bubbling.

I want to do this as well. I've done the film on two exterior windows, and those worked well. Definitely will put it on the exterior of a shower. Just don't know how to actually get it done. Ours was done professional before. I hear the bubbled happen when you do it yourself and don't get the bubbles out before you lay it down.

Outside, but why are we doing this? I wonder if it might not be cuter to have some sort of cafe curtain.

Could you put a link for an example?
