Venue for baby shower - Georgetown area

Anonymous
Not sure this is the best forum for this, but has anyone been to a venue (whether it’s a room in a restaurant or a venue where I can bring in catering) in or around Georgetown that would be good for a baby shower of say 25 people? My home is just a tad bit too tight so wanted to see if I have other options.

Thanks!

I attended a nice baby shower at Hotel Lombardy near Foggy Bottom. https://www.hotellombardy.com/meetings-events

What’s the budget? There are oodles of venues, budget is the most important part.

Fiola Mare has several rooms that are nice, at least one with outdoor space.

Good question - would prefer to do like 3-4K at most.

Unless your guests live in Georgetown, please do your guests a favor and pick a different area. None of my friends (including the mom to be) lived near Georgetown and we were annoyed by the stressful parking situation at her shower. We mostly lived around Logan Circle and felt like she was being pretentious.

My guests live all over, and many will be Ubering etc. as they are coming from out of town. I live in the area, and there are reasons we want to do this area because of proximity to certain important family members and my own home.

Well, parking is venue dependent not neighborhood dependent. There are plenty of venues in Georgetown with easy parking. I don’t see how it’s any easier to park in Logan Circle or why Georgetown is “pretentious” unless it was at the four seasons or something. It’s a fancy residential area but the commercial zone is hardly trendy.
