Ed Sheeran concert on Sat. - advice on getting there?

Headed to Ed Sheeran concert on Saturday. We have parking reserved, and are coming from VA. We haven’t gone to a concert or a game at Fed Ex Field in years. I just remember traffic being awful getting in and out.

Tips or suggestions, strategies?
Start time says 630 and he has an opening act I presume comes on near they time. From looking on line it seems he comes on 815-830.

Gorgeous is the last word I would use to describe him. If you saw him at a bar and he wasn't famous or wealthy - zero chance you'd call him gorgeous.

Concert “starts” at 6, sounds like he comes on more like 8. When would you leave downtown DC? We have paid for parking at Fed Ex already and are driving.

We are taking the metro to Largo, walking from there to the stadium.

Be careful on the metro. It's not safe.

Why do you say it isn’t safe? Do you mean metro generally or in that particular area? We were planning to walk from the Largo stop to FedEx (about 1 mile).
