This is sarcasm right? Pretty sure ignoring it’s coequal branches to unilaterally shut down an agency, halt funds Congress has appropriated, defying court orders, Peronist economic actions, throwing out due process are all pretty much signs of a wannabe tin pot dictator.

Democrats need to resist this with all our might. These stupid conspiracy theorist anti/establishment populist Republicans are destroying trust in our sacred institutions. We teamed up with Liz Cheney during the election and we need to do it again. Trumpists questioned Biden’s Covid response and Dick Cheney’s 9/11 response, and Trumpists are dangerously wrong in bith counts. We need to defend the war on terror and the 9/11 commission story against extremist Trumpist anti-establishment freaks. TSA in airports is a good thing, and we can’t let Trumpism take away our security.

As if it wasn’t bad enough that Donald shut down roads so that he could do his little photo ops, this was literally one of his props. He and his staffers honestly thought this was a winning look.

The current GOP has made lying a standard part of the package.

After GOP Senate candidate Dave McCormick held a campaign event at a restaurant that was told it was an autism awareness event, his campaign was booted from a church fundraiser.

[...]

After showing up at a cheesesteak restaurant to campaign under the auspice of an autism awareness event, McCormick went across the street to East Bethel Baptist Church, which happened to be holding an outdoor fundraiser for its food ministry.

The Rev. Thomas Edwards Jr., who leads the church, told his campaign to leave because he didn’t want the GOP candidate to use photos of his congregation for campaigning purposes.

A Philadelphia restaurant has banned a Republican candidate after his campaign lied and told the restaurant that they’d be holding an autism awareness event. The restaurant allowed McCormick to finish and they were asked to leave and banned.

Not wanting that to be the jerkiest thing they did that day, McCormick and his campaign then attempted to make a campaign commercial at the Baptist church across the street from the restaurant. The church was holding a fundraiser for the food shelf and the pastor did not want his congregation abused by Republican shenanigans.
