Doesn't matter, the debt can never be repaid, therefore you must pay, and you are a racist if you don't want to pay.
I'd call this sarcasm, except this is really what they think.
Who is "they"? I'm a liberal and I don't think that.
Some of the posters on this site. I'm a liberal too and I think the whole reparations idea is absurd.
+1. Another liberal here who thinks reparations are absurd. We need to make lasting changes. So a $15/hour minimum wage (which will fall on the prices of goods we buy), and more progressive income taxes to support housing subsidies (to help people get on the housing ladder and build wealth) and universal healthcare.

States should collect the monies and give them to people of color.
Define people of color.
Elizabeth Warren is part of the people of color.
We had a lot of slavery in Latin America- caused by the gringo slave traders.
Hispanics with African ancestry must be included.
Hispanics with African ancestry can be paid by Hispanic countries, not US tax payers.

A facts a fact
It belongs to them
let’s give it back.
Seriously, this is a great 23andme scheme. All descendants of slave owners must give 75% of their wealth to all descendants of slaves. Do the genealogy and send out the bills. The rest of us sons and daughters of immigrants and non-slave owners and Native Americans are left out of it. Meanwhile, NAs get 1/2 of Oklahoma and take over 1/2 of all oil and natural gas fields. Tulsa casinos here we come!

That will work out well in places like Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.
Yes, it will allow the healing to begin. California is ready to start this right now!
All this talk of "healing" is really vague but essentially means "payback." Healing is probably the least likely outcome. It would lead to a lot of resentment among recent immigrants and others, and would give Cons an excuse to say "we're done here, we can cancel TANF and all the other programs now."
Let's do things that will meaningfully help this and future generations. Raise the minimum wage to $15/hour, universal healthcare, and subsidies to low-income individuals for education and housing.
Meh. No one listens to conservatives anymore.
It’s time to do the right thing instead of worrying about the amoral snowflakes will think.

Nope. This discussion is about slavery, Jim Crow and the accrued disadvantage of black people in the USA.
If you got on a boat or a plane after 1965 (before that Dominicans, Nigerians etc. were nearly nonexistent) and came to America you wouldn't qualify for this proposed action.
You're dumb.
There were Hispanics here, including black ones, even before anglo "black people" came here.
