For the most part, the RBFC coaches have experience with younger age groups and lower level leagues. They do not have experience with older age groups at higher levels. So RBFC may be perfectly fine for younger kids who just want to have fun but may not serve well kids who want strong development from the youngest ages. If you want a stronger focus on development, look at McLean or GFR or even Loudoun.

Revolution and St James also for profit, it’s not a new model. There are also plenty of clubs (Loudoun included) who claim to be non profit but only care about money.

They have 5 age groups of mixed genders all trying out at the same time on one field. They can't be expecting many players if that's what they're doing. At the GFR U12 tryouts tonight there were probably enough players for 4 teams and when we were leaving there were tons of girls showing up for the U14 tryouts, 6 or 7 were Loudoun (east, I assume) players.

Don’t think they can tell you anything because they have no idea how many kids they’ll have at the different age levels. They’ll sell you that your kid will “play up” and guest play which just means they don’t have enough to field a teamm
