Any idea who are the potential replacements? DCU has got to have someone in place soon to get up to speed and ready when spring starts up again.

Either way...the academy is bad.

I sincerely hope new director can change things up.

Agreed. But unless they actually pay someone a real salary with real credentials and actually properly fund the academy, I fear it will be more of the same.

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the time off. I wanted to give a quick update about the academy. As the players already know, Pat Ouckama is no longer with the academy. The club has already begun a national search for a new academy director. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to Ally Mackay or Caleb Shreve. I look forward to seeing you all again in January!

Patrick Ouckama, Academy Director for DC United Academy, was reportedly let go this week.

Details surrounding his departure remain unclear, and DC United has yet to release an official statement confirming the departure. The move raises questions about the future direction of the club’s youth development initiatives.

Good ridding now my small size DS has a chance at play time.

Because DCU doesn't want to pay for all three teams to go. Another reason why DCU is not good

Yes DCUA is cheap. However, don't think that's the case here. Seems like lots of academies are only sending their U16/18's.

Yeah, I agree but if I had to guess, being cheap is more likely.

For that PP that was asking what other academies can afford to send their kids overseas:

Some more recent news. Lots of academies participate overseas, haven't ever seen DCUA there.

Academy are matched up with other Academies, they don't play against next teams at fest. I could be wrong
