We’ve been hearing the same charade since 2018. Just shut up and keep building more nonsense while presenting losses on your tax forms lmao
Well, considering they only started the girls academy program a few months ago, I’d say this is the starting line. Rev’s GA teams are brand new in 2024. None of the coaches or players were with Rev before 2024. And none of the players who were with Rev before 2024 are part of the GA teams. What happened is more akin to a acquisition than growth of their program. Rev acquired the majority of the GA program from FCV. We’ll see in years how that works out.
This is laughable. Over the summer the tune everyone was humming was that Revolution would be competitive since the majority of the GA teams and girls came over from St James and they were established teams. They got handled by VDA and now we're preaching patience😂
It's not the parents fault, that's what they were being sold and they believed it - competitive teams, GA level transfers from FCV (this wasn't the case based off some of the rosters)...maybe this weekend opened some eyes
For the new ones in class or those at the back… VRSC is known for lying through its teeth with fake presentations and PowerPoints. Basically telling paying customers what they want to hear. What a salesman does essentially. And then doing what they want once the money is in the bag. and if you want to leave and get your player card ‘oh well, you signed this contract, pay up the full tuition if you want to leave’ #onefamily
That’s every club. No club lets you leave mid season without paying off the contract
the crusaders of VRSC in full force… keeping a playing is the only detail you address. You mean all clubs also lie in their PowerPoint presentations and coaching slate to absorb the most amount of paid registrations and then leave you with an unqualified yeller and no basic skills? Sounds exactly what a soler panel pinzo scheme would do. Oh, wait 🤫
"Solar" and "Ponzi". Sound really educated there, bozo.

Anonymous wrote:In most cases, the child you are talking about is not that interested in the sport. It’s the parent who has the interest. Rarely are kids on a second team when the deserve the first. Even in those cases the child who deserves the promotion is the one who gets it. You can game the system, but it won’t last for long if the child doesn’t put in the work.

There should be more available player slots for top leagues including the ECNL league. The ECNL is taking the opposite direction by merging local clubs in an effort to exclude entire communities from their league. The GA is expanding their league to provide more opportunities for girls to develop. Also, many teenagers are just not coachable and will never learn the athletic/game iq combo that's required to play at a higher level. This is factual and anyone who ever taught or coached teenaged kids knows that some kids will never "get it.". So both PP are correct.
This would dilute the player even more. The less GA/ECNL teams the better. This would allow for the concentration of the top talent on a fewer teams. These spots should be for the most talented individuals in a given area.

If anyone wants to criticise the treatment of teen and preteen girls, they should be saying about these various clubs that treat them as a checks. Today's travel clubs are yesterday's almost free rec league. Parent and volunteer coaches with a coaching credential. Doesn't the VDA coach who was at FCV hav the rekord for ACL ters so far.
It’s kind of a chicken and egg problem. Without GA the club’s best players leave as they reach U13. You can’t expect instant success, takes years to build up the pipeline of players. And of course it’s about cash. Soccer clubs are businesses and parents are willing paying customers. Everybody knows that and no one is being tricked. Why does this all bother you so much?
