And why was the game at the neutral field? Not that it matters but if you are going to say you should know what you are talking about then mad you should actually know what you are talking about.

Not true. Regular season game was at Madison and the District playoff was at a neutral field (Fairfax HS). It helps to actually know what you are talking about.

Comparisons to previous years teams are meaningless. This a new year with new teams and many very good contributing players that will help decide who gets thru to states.

Yorktown beat Robinson around the same time Madison did, so it is hard to claim that as a solid win for Madison. Bullis and Potomac are similar, Oakton got the win, Madison didn’t. Comparing scores only works if you actually watched the games. Oakton coaches tend to play the bench rather than run up the score. That factored into the final tally against South County, South Lakes, and Westfield.

2 overtime games with a better team is “owning” them? This isn’t last year. Score differential is not always a good guage either. Some games are tight and garbage goals at the end can mask what the game was all about. Again you can Jimmy the Greek all you want…

South Lakes is extremely athletic and can run with any team. They may surprise CVille and or the rest of the Concorde. They are much better than Chantilly. Wait and see.

This opinion is based on what exactly? Oakton is 9-0, with wins against Langley, Yorktown, Woodson, Bullis, and South Lakes. Madison has wins over Robinson (before it righted the ship), Yorktown, and Chantilly. Madison had a stronger, senior laden team last year and both games against Oakton went to overtime. Oakton lost only 3 players to graduation and have better goalie play this season. As a rivalry game, I imagine it will be close, but it’s crazy to say Madison should be favored. The game is at Oakton too.

Madison 11-5 over YT>>>Oakton 10-7 over YT
Madison 16-11 over Cville>>>Oakton 12-9 over Woodson (Cville is better than Woodson)
Oakton only beat SL by 3, Madison crushed Chantilly, but SL is a slightly better win than Chantilly
Potomac is better than Bullis, but call that even.
Madison has better wins, and therefore should be the Favorite.

The Oakton -6 line probably comes from the same person who made Centreville a favorite as well vs Madison. I am taking the 6. We'll see what Oakton does vs SSSA. If it is ugly the line could move quite a bit.
