“So they think Antifa is patriotic?”
Btw, whatever happened to Antifa? You don’t hear the GOP or Trump going on and on about it. Almost as if it never really existed.
We have lived in DMV for decades and never met one ANTIFA person. We have met many liberals, many Republicans, anti abortion advocates, die hard Trumpers and anti Trumpers. We have never met one Antifa - I think there largely a figment of extreme paranoid imaginations fighting perceived vague threats from the left.
I heard a lot about Antifa in the months after Jan6 from trumpers. Antifa was the reason for the violence at the Capitol, they say. I don't hear anything about it anymore. They say they have "moved on." Evidently "moved on" means not evaluating what they said in the past to see if it still holds true. Or maybe "gasp!" they made a mistake trusting the people who were pushing the Antifa story line.
Your mistake is in assuming that they, like you and I, mean what they say and try to have reasons for saying things.
They just want to overthrow the government and install a fascist oligarchical theocracy. That’s it. They want to crush normal people and make everyone as sad, lonely, scared and miserable as they are and as they think everyone should be. They’re hopping mad that LGBTQ+ don’t have to live in fear and secrecy. They’re beyond pissed that women have the ability to live independently of men. They’re just enraged that kids are being taught the real history of this country, what White people did to Black people and Native Americans (and many others) as well as the enormous contributions made by all those marginalized groups despite their marginalization.
And so you have utter nonsense, obfuscation about “ antifa” and inflation (that Republicans and Republican business owners are fanning the flames of) and immigrant caravans and CRT, to hide the fact that most Republican voters hate this country and will overthrow if they get the chance.
