Were they playing down from a higher level team? If so: highly unethical and most people would avoid a coach with such questionable morals.
Did he bench the girls on the team and play the ringers in order to win 8-2? Yes, yes he did. Again, highly unethical.
Is he coaching next year for GFR?

- How many kids are usually on a blue team 11 v 11 roster?
- When does practice start for the season?
- Do they do anything organized over the summer, like free play?
- I see they have an overnight camp, how would I know if my son’s team attends? For this one I’m guessing the answer is to ask the coach lol.
Thanks!

There has been no communication about timelines and next steps for offers so it is becoming harder to convince people to stay when most girls tried out at multiple clubs and have multiple offers in hand with 48 hour acceptance windows. You can only keep interested clubs waiting for so long. If you are unsure of performance, PLEASE speak to existing coaches who have known our girls/families for multiple years or come to practices to see the girls in the scrimmages. But something needs to be done soon if you want to keep families.
A club that can’t get its act together with getting offers out should be the only red flag you need.
Oh stop. Tryouts just ended late last week. It is TUESDAY. An as mentioned, with the age change things are more complicated than they usually are. Reach out to a coach if you have a question about your individual kid.
Did tryouts end? I see that there's a 3rd session late April also for U15 and under
No, they didn't even actually end. That's why this is kind of crazy to be freaking out because in the middle of spring break people aren't getting offers after 2 tryouts. Our coach warned us it would be a few days with the weekend and spring break on top of the age group change and several coach changes. They don't want to just start sending offers, they're making careful decisions. Opposite of the red flag to me.
Most of the kids got offers on our team and there are many handfuls that have not. That is why people are frustrated.
