You have the floor......

The inhouse bickering and complaining about everything within the club as represented by not only this thread but the several pages that consumed the general NoVa soccer thread. No other club has its own thread dedicated to internal bickering and whining.

Furthermore, I asked you for current specific examples, and you are unable to give any. So.......

There are 65 pages here for you to read through. This entire thread is the citation. Start over at the NoVa Soccer thread and then hop on over to this thread for the continuation.

Weak sauce.

Hey, its your clubs page man. If you don't see over 60 pages of whining about how many TD's you've had quit or been run off by over involved parents, or whining about the clubs inability to register rec teams in Herndon All Stars, complaining about field space, declining rec numbers then I don't know what to tell ya.

If someone were to actually read everything written about VYS, they'd see that about 90 percent of the garbage said about it has been refuted. Concretely. It took a while, which is why the threads have gone on so long.

The other 10 percent is pretty normal stuff with the possible exception of the departure a couple of years ago of technical director Eddie Lima, a terrific coach who left because he and the board could not agree over a complicated business arrangement.

Meanwhile -- VYS finally has another candidate for VP of House.

Here is the thing, to 90% of outsiders seeing this thread they aren't sticking around to see any of it refuted, nor do they care. This thread makes your club come off as bush league at best and incompetently run by nepotistic armatures at worst. But that's none of my business.

Can I name my band "nepotistic armatures"?

And it's funny -- you often hear nepotism accusations at several clubs, but where are the specifics?

multiple children in the Club. Maybe only 1 is decent. Then--every younger sibling thereafter get placed beyond their means. We had 5 A team U9 kids at our Club that had one or more older siblings on an A team. These younger siblings sucked in comparison to other kids their age without any older siblings. 4 years down the road most of them have finally been demoted, but they clogged the drain for multiple years pissing off deserving kids.

Except they aren't in here posting though are they. Perhaps they care, but likely they don't care at all in the big picture but the parents certainly care more. And the fact is, State Cup isn't what it used to be anymore.

Winning State cup when neither DA nor ECNL participates = "who cares"

So you are saying the 06 boys had turnover due to lack of competitiveness or you are just taking a swipe at the club?

Just taking a swipe at the club.

That said, things are always going to be difficult for clubs like Vienna when there are several nationally ambitious clubs in the region. The Vienna girls teams from U14 up have been terrific, and they have some potential at lower age groups, but it's tough to keep them together when Braddock Road and the DAs come calling. Joining up with VDA is an effective defensive measure -- if you're going to lose your top players, at least "lose" them to an affiliated program that has the occasional Vienna coach.

The 06 boys all have different reasons for leaving. Vienna's such a baseball town, and some kids want to concentrate on their last year of Little League. A couple of players are really good and are going to elite clubs. And a couple of parents are delusional and are convinced their kids are special because they can kick the ball real hard, so they need to be at a club that wins those ever-important U11 league games.

Yes I took a swipe at the club, I've taken 2 kids through the U12 and U10 levels at VYS. Each left based on their own decision to move to another club. They both played at the Red level and kept getting out played by other clubs....Over and Over again. Too many idiot moms at this club try to make it a freaking picnic at the games bring donuts, coffee, etc. I get the whole, let's make this a family thing....but the clubs that are winning are all business. In the current club, we celebrate the wins and take the losses as a learning experience...In the VYS world, we celebrated wins/losses. Since I put 2 through the rec and travel program, I can take a swipe at the club. Nice people, but shitty soccer.

I agree with PP. We're at a nearby club and I would also call many of their decisions and actions over the past few years A Hot Mess. We've had kids come and go from and to Vienna over the years. The kids are all fine. Chances are none of these kids are going pro anytime soon.

Those threads indicate that you've been unusually busy as a troll for many years -- I will grant you that! -- but they don't tell us why VYS is supposedly a "hot mess" (it's not). It's just a club like a lot of others. It serves the kids and the community well.
