Word on the street is most of the older GA players (U16+) will be jumping ship.
That’s BS. The club plans to roster 28 kids per team. Players not playing will be offered lower boys team levels. Same for girls teams. This is how they get their revenue here and build the club. Word is they are looking for some new coaches.
Best of luck with 28
They have to make room for all the GFR girls following Gus.
How many GFR girls are coming? Are they even good?
3 new players were added from GFR on our GA team. Don’t know how good they are because no games yet.
Which age group?
I'm not the one who commented but I believe there were 3 09's from GFR were added to our team playmetrics and I heard 4 2011's have been going to their practices, not sure if they're on rosters yet. I did see them with blue GFR backpacks at the facility though last night.
I think at least 4 or 5 @ 2011's. How does that work?
There are definitely more 09s and 2011s (and even 2010s) who have had 'discussions' about following GD to Revolution. Specifically re: 09s and 11s, I know there are a handful that are still considering it but are torn because they also have friends (or in some cases, carpools) at GFR. How that works out, though, remains to be seen but I wouldn't be surprised to see at least a few more make the move.
Those age groups already have crowded rosters if you include Aspire players that have been training with them. Is there enough space for all? Let’s ask CC maybe he will chime in soon.
