Cynthia Ryan says she closed Masala, a jewelry and crystal shop on York Street, for a week because she wanted to keep her staff safe from harassment by maskless protesters.
Helena Jaczek, minister of Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, said small businesses had been particularly hard hit by the protest.
“(Businesses were) forced to drastically reduce their hours and, in many cases, they’ve had to close their doors (because) they’ve been harassed and intimidated,” she said.

The most significant thing to come out of these protests is that we all saw how the Canadian government froze bank accounts of any and all opponents. So…our money is only good if we keep our mouths shut and our arms ready for the vaccine. Physical gold and (to a lesser extent) Bitcoin looking better.

Guess what? There were a few streets blocked, that is all. I made it to work safe, downtown, every single day.

But, you didn't fear for them during the almost 2-year lockdown? When they were forced to close their small businesses? Somehow 3 weeks of a few shops downtown being closed is what is unacceptable to you? But, being closed for two years by the gov is ok?
