Of course you can't complain about freaking PreS-3. Hardly anybody does, even the Potomac School, CHD, Sidwell etc. bound. How many times have we heard this tired mantra, if just on this thread? Sure, you might stay for the long haul (do I hear 3rd grade?). I'd give you around a 20% chance, at least if you're from a professional family with a six-figure income. It's not a great school, and can't be under any development paradigm DCPS is currently offering. Make it better, knock yourself out, be our guests. Come on, only the Maury, SWS and Brent families are likely to stay.


Funny, the Maury families were being told this defeatist shit not 3-4 years ago.

There is a parent welcome center at the front of the building (it was the principal's idea to include this in the architectural plans).

Two lovely ladies from the PTA are there most mornings and afternoons to talk with parents, encourage involvement, discuss suggestions, and facilitate overall participation!

While the school is ultimately about the child, if it doesn't make me as a parent feel good, welcome and involved, I would never trust them with my child...especially a 3 or 4 year old. Not saying LT does not do this, but to say that the school is not about parents is entirely incorrect.
