For anyone who knows, M&D is killing it, anyone know what they do in recruiting? Same with YJ/ Top Guns, but they're way out of town. An aside, how are they #1 and #2 and M&D is #2?

Only a measly 3% of high school lacrosse players actually make it to play Division 1 in college. Seriously, let that sink in before you start tearing apart a family's choice or a player's decision to attend a particular school!

And I don't find the parents on my daughter's team obnoxious at all. Nice people. Good mix of backgrounds, careers, interests. All of them support their kids and their sports. Solid crew.

If you're referring to the proposed House settlement, there about 27 teams that would be under it IF it goes through and a rule is then created. Possible some more if several teams in say the Big East opt in. Only a fraction of those 27 have rosters over 38, for a total of 18 spots. Even IF it affects 1 or 2 classes disproportionally, it's a nothingburger.

This was definitely a tough part of August. Getting texts from coaches saying “xyz has interest”. I wondered if that text went out to the whole team or what? On September 1 we received texts from two schools that had never been emailed or had “interest”. Nothing else from anyone we had emailed or from the many who “had interest”. No advice other than if you are not on a top team it is rough time for sure. Stay strong!
