This is the typical Potomac parent bs. It's a different demo and applicant pool. Saints has similar constraints and it hasn't hurt them laxwise.
Saints absolutely don’t have similar constraints. The acceptance rate at SSSAS is significantly higher than at Potomac, Sidwell, etc

You're new to the sport so I'll go slow. Summer tourney games are 50 minutes running clock on short fields. High school games are 60 minutes non-running time on regulation-sized fields. There's more depth on the better club teams, which means more line rotations which means (I'm going as slow as I possibly can here for you) less playing time. Which ... means ... they're .. not ... as .. tired ... during ... summer ... tournaments. HS teams that don't have depth need the better players to play entire 60 minute non-running time back-to-back games. Those players will never be the same on day #2.
And the teams with more depth can rest their studs for a few minutes here and there so they are fresher when it gets to crunch time late in tight games. It also gives time for a close conversation with the coach for any game-planning/ discussion that you wouldn't get if they don't come off of the field. Physical exhaustion messes with their mental game as well.
(Just so it's clear, I am agreeing with you 100%)
Add to that the fact that high school games are frequently rivalry games so the games can be more intense, and hence, more fatiguing.

Subbing because they seem to have some key injuries. But, still not enough. Because of minimal development, they don’t have anyone to sub. One girl plays every position on the field. GC and BI will wear them out because their goal will be to beat her down.
