It's a mix at older ages. There are SJC, PVI, STA, Potomac School, and GZ kids on 22 and 23 teams.

I don’t know any VLC kids applying to Gonzaga.

Move this to the DC Hs outlook. Also SJC is better than GZ

And, as somebody else noted, this is tangentially related (at most) to VLC. So if you want a dialogue on the PVI coach, go ahead and start a thread with that in the title. My guess is that the good feedback will outweigh the bad by far. Best of luck to you and your son.

It is a legit criticism. Arguably better talent than GZ in many years and yet they've never won the WCAC. SJC has now surpassed them too, beat them twice in 2019 and that gap has widened. I see a lot more PVI kids making a difference in college.

They have about a minute to do that b/c the majority of VLC kids 2025 and under are from Loudoun, south Ashburn mostly, so they will go to the publics around PVI as well as PVI.

Agreed, loudoun kids aren’t going to commute into O’Connell; traffic is a nightmare.

Loudoun kids go to SJC and Gonzaga to play sports (including lax). Kids will commute. I just don't think they'll go to DJO for lax because the team can't beat public schools. Traffic has nothing to do with it.

Too bad PVI HC sucks. PVI should have way more hardware in view of all the talent that they have had over the years. Until he moves one, PVI destined to remain at that second level behind Gonzaga, GP, St Johns, etc. They don't need a lacrosse ambassador as HC.

How is this related to VLC?

Well DJO can offer PT. But will they drive by PVI? Don’t think so.

Loudoun kids commute to SJC and Gonzaga and those kids aren't even going the farthest. Kids will commute for PT and a good program.

VLC does not push HS programs on kids they have a good relationship with youth clubs and encourage rec play. They also help all of the public school programs by raising the level of play for off season high preforming players.
