+1. Wow. That was tough.

+2. An exceptional hour of television. I'm crying, too.

+3. I started crying when Randall was describing his dad to William and the flash-back of little Randall's face in Jack's hands. Randall mirroring that at the end with William did me in completely.

+4

And all of those beautiful images baby William with his mom.

omg this part tore me up. I was in tears. It was a beautifully done episode

I love the whole episode but the entire scene at the end really got me. William's comments about wanting the kids' memories to be of them looking up at him, not down. And how the two best people in his life were there at the beginning (his mom) and at the end (Randall). Sob.

It was beautifully done. I love the life story of William woven throughout the episode.

To all the haters, this show is not for you. It is a sobby, sappy show and if that's not your thing, move along.

+5, I just lost my father (addict) a few months ago. Happened in similar manner (bedside). I was a wreck last night.

So sorry, PP. I lost my mom to cancer 15 years ago and I, too, was a wreck last night. The whole episode really hit home.

I agree.

You both have no soul.

I almost wrote this

If THIS episode wasn't your thing, I would honestly question if the shoe fits you at all. This episode was pretty much the essence - the point - a crucial story. I mean, maybe you just like other characters better? But, how could you not find the generational tale beautiful? Birth, death, falling in love, mistakes, rolling the windows down and cranking up the music.

If you were bored with this episode I think you need to find a different show. You completely missed the point.

I thought last night was very touching. I was crying at the end and I never cry at television.
