Sssas won against the Florida St Andrew’s and Potomac lost to them.

State of the WCAC:

1. Good Counsel: all alone in top-tier based on comparative play so far. Did not drop off as much as some expected after losing the 2025 class. After dominating Visi, pretty clear that only SSSAS and (maybe) SR can hang with them in the DC area.

Tier 2
2. SJC: clear number 2 but still a sizable gap down from Good Counsel. Can compete with 3 and 4 in ISL and should run the table (7-1 again) in the WCAC schedule.

Tier 3
3. PVI: Not going to compete with top 2 in WCAC or top 4 in ISL this year after losing senior leadership to Florida.

4. BI: Similar to last year, should beat everyone but top 3. Not competitive with ISL leaders and might even lose to Holy Child if they played this year. SMR could give them a game.

Tier 4
5. SMR: Some talented players, but not deep or well-rounded. Probably number 5, and likely to go 4-4 in conference, but giving up 20+ goals to SJC does not bode well for competing with 3 and 4.

For the top 4 ISL AA
Saints has the most complete team with backups for every position.

Potomac has a complete team but lacks depth

Stone Ridge has decent offense and defense but missing critical goalie presence

Visi has good goalie coverage, questionable defense and key person dependent offense.

I agree with some PP that as of now the ranking should go:
Tier 1: Saints
Tier 2: SR
Tier 3: Potomac and Visi

I just don't see Holy Child or Holton give any of the top 4 a game right now

As for the the ISL A level, some speculated that Sidwell might step up. Then they lost to St. Mary's Ryken. Only remaining potential interesting development I see, is whether NCS can compete. They simply haven't played much lacrosse yet, but should be ready to take the ISL A on paper. If they handle Sidwell tomorrow, then the Holton Arms game next week might be worth watching.

NCS will win the title fairly easily.
