We Jews represent 2.4% of the U.S. population. I'd say we're well represented.

This was Kelly’s problem IMO.

It wasn’t his main problem. Harris couldn’t lose his senate seat. Would require a special election to replace him. Not sure if that’s a risk to take with a stacked court. I mean Johnson is threatening a lawsuit against Biden finishing his term. Biden went to great lengths to time his step down. After RNC and before DNC. Legally, delegates and campaign funds transferred to Harris in plenty of time for nominee certificate. After RNC was stealth move as JD was already nominee and together with Trump their entire shtick was bashing Biden. Laugh with me pp!!

I just don't buy that. AZ's Democratic governor would appoint another Dem to Kelly's seat. The special election wouldn't be until 2026, plenty of time to solidify support in a state that seems to be trending increasingly purple, if not blue.

Like I said above, threatening litigation when it’s constitutionally not possible. Kelly’s alright. The pick wasn’t going to change my vote. Didn’t they vet Kelly a 2nd time? Something was off. Walz was an early Harris endorser and a Biden loyalist. He’s low key. Which is why many (including me) were Walz who? Stellar credentials. Maybe he also lightens things up, makes her laugh. And her laugh annoys republicans, so it’s a win! Shapiro and Kelly are serious. Shapiro was the riskier pick. Tired of Trumps, all of them. Vance is disastrous. Trump asked if he should drop Vance! Who cares about a student club he sponsored at a HS almost 30 years ago. That has no relationship to his qualifications for Vice President.

It shows that he was a good dude even back then. Not many Midwestern high school football coaches were volunteering as faculty advisor for the gay kids.

I went to the grocery store (Lund’s, for my fellow Minnesotans) to get some ingredients for the National Night Out party and managed to overhear a Republican woman slip up and refer to Governor Walz as “our next Vice President” angrily, then catch herself and say “I hope not.” (Then she went on to complain about the new 5¢ bag tax, if you want to know what flavor of person she was.)

Republicans know how bad Harris/Walz is for the GOP’s chances.
