Hi Anonymous!

Joe Morice here, the goalie's father. You'll notice I'm including my actual name.

Let's get something straight - Madison played a great, complete game last night. They did play physically, and you know what, it's a contact sport.

I believe our daughter played well. She had 12 saves against a well designed Madison offense. Perfection is unattainable, right, but all things considered she played hard and she's got a million times more guts than you do.

Madison played a good game and they won.

As to your comment, this is our family's first post here. My wife and I generally avoid this thread (I heard about your comment from someone else) because we have a little less than zero respect for anonymous commenters, yourself included.

As to your opinion of our daughter as a player, I'll be working the grill Saturday at Centreville all day, come find me. I'm 5' 8", a cosmetically not awful 246, and am 48 years old with an acceptable but not too bad amount of gray.

Come by. We're making burgers, hot dogs, breakfast burritos, and a barbecue platter! Fingers crossed the rain holds off.

You can also reach me at my phone number below.

See you Saturday!

I’m 6 2” 240 grey hair also and with another team playing Saturday I’ll gladly stand by you but I know the anonymous poster doesn’t have the balls to face you. Sorry buddy this is no place to single out individuals and I was at that game. Your daughter made some amazing saves. As a sophomore she had composure and grit in such a big game!

Brother, come by the grill! Good luck to you daughter and her team this weekend!

We appreciate the compliment and will pass it along to Rey.

Look, right, it's a anonymous message board where adults are talking about kids. I had no illusion to civility when I got here this morning. I will say I feel like there are more positive comments than negative, which is a nice change to pace.

This clown, though, while I don't think I've met this person, we've all known this person a hundred times, right? They're living vicariously through their kid, they never lettered in high school themselves, and they're constantly whining about how someone didn't pass to their kid, someone didn't block for their kid. And the audacity of this person talking about team chemistry... try having ever played a team sport and then, maybe, you can talk about team chemistry.

Their anonymous BS is an insult to their own kid's hard work. They are unworthy of riding their kid's coattails, and they are most definitely unworthy of the barbecue platter.

I want to know more about this barbecue platter in case I go and if Joe can help livestream all the games for us (since the NFHS cameras at CV are crap) in case I don't.

And I think the CV goalie is doing an admirable job this year given the situation of being thrust into full time work (IYKYK).

First, thank you.

Yeah, the camera... No one loves that. Were it within my influence or ability to improve, I would.

And we're excited to expand our concessions menu!

I’m guessing you realized that wasn’t the best idea for team and family chemistry within.

LOL! Ah, the anonymous double down. What took you so long? Internet connection not working great from your parents' basement?

Battlejunk isn’t beating anyone other than the garbage in their weak region.

This one “battlejunk” hater on this thread is so consistent. Only comes around to hate on one team. What do you have against them? Seriously the obsession is creepy! Again, we don’t want a seat at your table.

A physical game can be played without fouls or cards. The draw circle was intense and physical- both teams fought hard and used their bodies. That was my point.

Fair point
