Because she thinks of herself as this giant celebrity, and thinks of her followers as lowly peons who will just DIE at the idea of seeing her in the flesh. And i guess (?) there are people out there that feel that way about her? But I think most people would see that video and just think she sounds ridiculous. Like, get over yourself sis, LOL. 🙄
That video was sooo uncomfortable to watch; she called them "cute" a couple times. So patronizing, an author with heart should have some humility.

They also are so strange about sexuality. Rachel Hollis needed us to know she was making out with Dave on a regular basis and having this amazing sex life, but turns out they were on the verge of divorce and he ends up self destructing with drugs and alcohol. I don't recall Jen ever talking sex until she was divorced and now she is obsessed with it and yet I doubt she gets any from her "boyfriend" who does not seem remotely attracted to her. Glennon seemed to hate sex and then she met Abby and it took years before she actually identified as a lesbian rather than something like "my sexuality is Abby" and she has podcasts that talk about intimacy and yet I just don't get the sense she has any interest in an act where you let go and lose control. I get the sense Abby meant status and more followers for her and someone she hoped she could control. Jen definitely is not in control in her love life I suspect that drives her nuts.

Why has Jen reverted to talking like she has an audience of infants or small puppies? Everything is omg the best. Everything is soooo cute. Reminds me of Kylie Jenner is an uncanny valley kind of way.
But back to the video. Did she film it where she’s actually staying? The place looks so dreary, dark and ugly in the few snippets of the clip. Really makes me think she’s not doing well in general.

I don’t believe she’s happy with a forever bachelor type of guy. And I think it’s slowly killing her.
I agree about Jen. She has such warmth about her and was a great story teller. She also seemed much more humble and self-aware. I recall she had friends then too, but there wasn't this obsessive need to brag about all her friends and post girlie photos like a middle school girl who wants you to know she's popular.
