Yep, all those medals were a media creation.
"Gal?" And you're calling her washed up?
she has 30+ Olympic and world championship medals. But sure keep saying that she’s a “media creation”
no one cares about world championship outside of actual gymnastics fans (all dozen of them). She did amazingly well in Rio and had a miserable Tokyo. Every cycle there is a US gymnast that the media latching onto and most are forgotten a month after the Olympics. She made it to two, but there is nothing to suggest that she'll have any relevance by November
Your opinion that there are only a dozen gymnastics fans just makes you sound even more ignorant than your posts. Plenty of people watch world championships, particularly people who actually know something about sports. Anyway, Simone has more Olympic gold medals than any other USA athlete. But no matter what I say you'd just complain about how awful she is because you've decided to hate on her.
DP.
No, she doesn't. Google is your friend.
She was supposed to, with her projected win of 5, but that didn't happen.
Simone Biles has more golds than any USA gymnast.
From the New York Times.
Going into the Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles was already the most accomplished gymnast of our time. With her bronze medal in the balance beam final on Tuesday, she tied two important records in the sport.
Biles, 24, now has a total of 32 Olympic and world medals, matching Larisa Latynina of the Soviet Union, though Biles has more golds overall. Biles also has earned seven Olympic medals, tying Shannon Miller as the most successful American gymnast in the Games. Biles, though, has four golds to Miller’s two.
Miller, 44, earned her Olympic medals in 1992 and in 1996, the year when the Americans first won the team event.
Latynina, 86, competed when the countries behind the Iron Curtain were dominating women’s gymnastics. Between 1956 and 1964, she won 18 Olympic medals. She maintains the record for the most Olympic gold medals by any gymnast: nine.
The bolded says USA athlete, not gymnast. Michael Phelps has the most gold medals of any US athlete.

Medaling is hardly a whimper. She was still the best performing USA athlete in this event and that’s even with doing a dismount that was easier and wouldn’t aggravate her twisties. Without her, the USA wouldn’t have won anything at all on beam.
The GOAT is going home as the fourth most decorated US female gymnast from the Tokyo games. For someone who sewed a goat into her uniform, that is a whimper
Uh, no, she is at worst third-most decorated (Suni with a gold, silver bronze; Jade with a gold; Simone with a silver and bronze; MyKayla, Jordan, and Grace with silvers).
MyKayla has a silver that she actually earned. Simone has a participation silver
If Biles would have dropped out of the team event in time, who would have replaced her and earned a silver medal?
Jade Carey or McKayla Skinner most likely.
Neither one of them could've been subbed in after the preliminary round.
Neither of them could have “subbed in” at any time. They had their own spots. Had she withdrawn before any competition started in Toyko, the replacement would have come from the 4 replacement athletes (which quickly became 2 with Covid protocols).
