posters who disdain anyone and everyone in the top 5 percent. It’s impossible to have a reasonable discussion. we’re just entitled, spoiled living in bubbles. And all our kids are derisively called ‘snowflakes’ who are looking to take advantage of the system. Of course we were all born on Park Ave, .... and hard work, grit, tenacity had nothing to do with it and we couldn’t possibly have passed these redeeming qualities onto our kids.

I have to believe those PPs are carrying around some deep-seated guilt. They know they aren't doing their part and they get worked up when other people are being more cautious/following guidance. It's the only explanation for people who would feel the need to say nasty things to other people whose actions don't harm them in the least. It's one thing to be annoyed at someone who would yell at you about wearing a mask outside and another thing if someone is being cautious for themselves and not telling anyone else what to do.

At this point, anyone who says "I follow the science" or similar in the COVID threads to justify themselves doing something totally unnecessary OR doing things that are clearly risky and selfish. That phrase has lost all real-world meaning on here.

I have to believe those PPs are carrying around some deep-seated guilt. They know they aren't doing their part and they get worked up when other people are being more cautious/following guidance.
