They'd participate in All-Star tournaments, and they would actually get their teams properly seeded. But no one's willing to do it.
I agree that they need a new House VP.
It would be tough to find a more dedicated person, or someone with the same high-level leadership and management skills, but I think some new ideas would be welcome if for no other reason than b/c the House participation numbers have trended down (in general) the last few seasons. There are many reasons for that, some beyond the control of VYS.
. - I'm not sure they ever asked. My DD participated in the fall and loved the experience. Hadn't heard anything about All-Stars and was curious what was happening. In reality, its up to a rec parent to step up and offer to coach the All-Stars team. We used to send 2 different teams, because we had parents volunteer to take it on. Without them, the club can't do anything.

Anonymous wrote:Or just have your coach register your team for the tournament like every other soccer team in the nation, Rec or Travel. This IS NOT a club thing but a team thing. VYS is not keeping your team out of a tournament, you are by expecting the club to do everything for you. Collect your fees give the money to a manager or coach and have them register the team. This is not hard.
