I actually thought it meant that he's listening to her.
When he first entered from the limo, he brought her chock-o-noodle soup b/c he knew that she made chicken noodle soup recipe videos. He knew the names of her four kids when he showed up. He did his homework.
When he gave her the keys to represent going to NYC together, that showed that he shared her dreams and wanted to do them together. When he said during the proposal that she'll never be invisible to him, that showed that he listened to what her concerns were b/c she used the words that she felt invisible. So, I give Chock credit for that.
As many have said before, he does seem too intense and leans too much into her space. He seemed like he was selling himself to her... and eventually, she bought what he was selling. All of that can be true, but you have to give him credit for doing his research and playing to his audience (Joan).

During the live show when Joan was telling Guy she wanted to be friends and have double dates, the camera showed a young woman in the audience who seemed to be rolling her eyes. Did I imagine that or did anyone else see that?
Here's a close up of the ring:

Why show the ring??
Because people are always interested in seeing engagement rings?

He was the only one who spoke of logistics, like he would retire and move. But I never had the feeling that she liked him. Also it's hard to know what she wants but I don't think it's a serious relationship and I don't think she'll have one with Chock.
She is just a big blank blah. I think Chock's life is more complicated than she knows. He still has teenagers, for one thing. I will be stunned if it lasts.
He doesn't have teen agers. His kids are in their 20s.
Oh well, I thought they were still in high school. Wonder where he'll buy their pied a terre. Will cost a pretty penny.
