Their middies got jumped to open the game and Madison got in easy on their goalie (5 goals on 5 SoG) They adjusted and did better but it was too late. Hopefully their middies come ready to play vs Battlefield.
I saw this game differently. With all respect, Madison jumped out strong for sure, running to 7-1 at one point. The were blitzing in transition. But to suggest that Centerville middies didn't come to play, when #22 almost single-handedly clawed them back into the game (11-9 Madison at one point) seems unfair. She must have had 8-9 goals with the defense focused on her and Madison playing hard, not to mention numerous draw controls, ground balls, and full-field carries. Never came off the field until she was hurt with 30 seconds left. No C-ville affiliation here, just recognizing an impressive effort.
Not the Centerville goalie's fault either. She had 6-7 saves in the last 15 minutes. Madison runs a strong offense, with multiple girls who can get to goal. The better and deeper team won here, but to pile on Centerville's middies is misplaced.
