I speculated earlier it’s two death scenes we are seeing. Starts with a slow motion of Randall walking to the room, gray hair and in the beard. When he talks to Rebecca no gray. So I think Rebecca dies firs, no gray, and then Kate with the gray hair.

And I'll come right out and say it: I don't like Elijah. Dude gives me bad vibes and I don't trust him. I think it's INSANE that he is planning to propose. The twins are still really little. Are they even a year old? I feel like he's rushing things with Madison to edge Kevin out. I don't like it for Madison. It's not in her best interest.


Didn’t he basically say that he was sticking around because he realizes he punched above his weight with a woman like Madison, since he’s a shlub and she’s hot? Yeah, I agree — as they say, he’s not there for the right reasons.

My prediction is that the Elijah romance falls apart (maybe he has a dark side we haven't seen) and that Kevin and Madison ultimately end up together. I think Elijah is written to be unlikable for a reason.


Yes, they purposely seem to be giving us bad vibes. So if he is asking her because he feels she’s above his league, is that love? Will she realize that before she says yes? Or will she realize she’s not really in love with him? She is so in tuned to Kevin and his feelings and moods, she’s still in love with him.


I think she's going to have a realization that Elijah doesn't/may not really love her, but the idea of "having" her. He just gives off this weird, possessive vibe. Or he blows up over something with the twins. I feel like we've seen next to nothing about how he interacts with the twins.

It's a crazy situation and I feel like Rebecca or Beth could inject a little groundedness here.

No kidding! I kept watching to see if they were dubbing his lines or editing like crazy, because that was pretty incredible.

I wonder if the little actor's blindness had an impact on that. I could imagine that a vision impairment might heighten the kid's perception and emotional intelligence in a way that translates into better acting skill, even at that tiny age.


I wonder if they just improvised with him - let him talk and be the wing actors as he discussed his shoes, the park, etc.


I actually know the actor's mom. She said a few things have been improvised but for the most part they run through the lines several times and then do the scene. The crying in the hospital scene was partly him being told to pretend to cry and partly audio they recorded when he was actually crying about something. She said he picks up on lines quickly and he has fun on set.

Agreed. She's not being honest about the degree to which she resents Toby getting his act together.

Kate is my least favorite character at this point. The way she speaks to Toby is awful. So much disdain. And then she blames him for Jack escaping even after she realized her part in it by not locking the door. The fight was pretty believable and a good scene overall, but Kevin and Randall should never have gotten involved. And Kate just stands there behind her brothers and let’s them swoop in to “protect” her.

Toby isn’t perfect either but Kate is insufferable.

I don't think we can automatically take this at face value.

It could be her pride speaking after Kevin couldn't say he loved her. She could also be saying it to reassure Kevin that she was okay and he shouldn't feel guilty about not loving her.

Both of those explanations would make perfect sense for her character and their relationship.


She sounded sincere to me. Why wouldn’t she be at the death scene if they were married? Only the kids were shown.
