What do you think the implication is for a 17yo to drop out of the biggest competition in her life to secretively hole up at Mar-a-Lago, who was murdered two years later?
She survived the stabbing, although it affected her mental health. There was another controversy with her doing a provocative ad campaign. She refused to address the trump rumors and threw gas on the flames with the ad. Iirc, his name was shown in the ad. It's just really weird.
Again, her parents were with her. it was reported at the time.

+1 She’s the whole reason any of this is happening. Not exaggerating.
Who should be charged? You do know that you need proof--or, more evidence than "xx says?"
Do I think there are likely guilty people? Yes. Do I think there is enough to convict? Probably not.
As for the women at the hearing. None of those women was a child at the time they were involved in Epstein shenanigans.
Not sure what post you meant to respond to but even the publicly released files have evidence of crimes. BTW, it’s illegal to traffic adults too.
Epstein is dead. Ghislaine is in jail. So, who do you intend to charge? You need clear evidence. It cannot be just suspicion.
There's a vast network. Maxwell wasn't the only person there - Epstein had others arranging "massages" and logistics involving the victims. The rest of the network involved in trafficking, and those who took advantage of the girls all need to be held accountable. You seem deeply out of touch acting like there's nothing left to do with Epstein dead and Maxwell in prison.
No. Not out of touch, but close enough to prosecutors to know that you need evidence and proof. I don't question there are people who are guilty--but convicting them is a whole other issue.

CAIRO (AP) — Dubai has announced a new chairman for DP World, one of the world’s largest logistics companies, replacing the outgoing head who was named in the Jeffrey Epstein documents.
The announcement by the government’s Dubai Media Office did not specifically name Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem. However, it said that Essa Kazim was named DP World’s chairman and Yuvraj Narayan was named group CEO. Those were positions held by bin Sulayem.
Arab sheikhs, not exactly known for respecting women, are sidelining people in the Epstein files. Meanwhile, Howard Lutnick is still the Secretary of Commerce.
Is this ok with you guys?

DEI created a system where an individual had to prove that they were qualified. Regular people fell for the lie that DEI needed to go away so that we could get back to a merit system that NEVER ACTUALLY EXISTED. What JE files let us see, is that the rich secret society of people like to make the rules that benefit them. Think about this. Women get 2% of venture capital. A tiny program for black women was eliminated b/c it "excluded" white men and women. But in the files we find out that rich people just hook each other up. You need $100m? Meet my banker at JP Morgan and it's done. There is no such thing as merit. It's called your relationships and if you aren't in the club, you are screwed. DEI made them open up the club and they didn't like it. It created merit.
That’s why DEI is stupid because it’s really about money and not skin color.
DEI was about women, not just race.
Sure but a white man from a poor family is not given any favors by people like JE just because they have white skin. You need to be a billionaire in order to join that club.
No. Epstein and his cronies were all Jewish supremacists who didn’t even consider themselves white. They called non-Jew white people goy cattle and blacks the n-word.
Is Steve Bannon Jewish? You need to stop with the antisemitism. Btw, Steve Bannon referred to wealthy white southerners as “crackers”
?? Steve Bannon was not part of Epstein's inner circle. People like Les Wexner, Ghislaine Maxwell, Leon Black, and Ehud Barak were.
And, yes, they referred to non-Jews with derogatory slang, and it appears none of the trafficked girls were Jewish.
Steven Bannon was absolutely part of Epstein’s rehab. Epstein 2.0 was still bad. Maybe worse because it enabled the coverup.

Except for Kathy Reummler
Your political tropes aren't helping things. This isn't about race, sexual preference, or gender. It's about elites.
DP and I agree this is about elites. The “legitimate” partners also benefited like Debra Black.
Brad Karp is only resigning from firm leadership not from Paul Weiss. Reminded me of Leon Black no longer being the face of Apollo but still being in Apollo. If his wife flipped out and divorced him - Black it seems was one of the most violent men, sexually, according to what Giuffre wrote - maybe that would have spurred the firm to kick him out all the way.

“The Organizing Committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics has called a meeting on Wednesday to address the status of LA28 chairman Casey Wasserman, according to people familiar with the situation.
The meeting was arranged following Wasserman’s name surfacing in the Epstein files. A prominent artist and an athlete associated with Wasserman’s businesses have announced their decision to leave his agency in recent days.
Singer Chappell Roan earlier this week announced her separation from his eponymous talent agency, Wasserman. On Wednesday, retired U.S. women’s soccer star Abby Wambach posted on Instagram that she had left the Wasserman agency, where Casey is CEO, after reading his correspondence in the files.
“Casey should resign,” Wambach wrote. “He should leave, so more people like me don’t have to.”

In unearthed footage, rapper Uncle Luke if 2 Live Crew describes his experience at a Trump Mar-a-Lago party in the 90s.
Host: So women just naked in rooms with no music?
Uncle Luke: When I start looking at some of these girls’ faces, I was like, “Man, these girls don't look like they're old enough.” ... I was like, “I can't be up in here. I gotta go. If I'm going to jail, then somebody's going to extort me.” ... So you got a whole bunch of these women running around, some women look too young ... Were they old enough to be enjoying themselves? I don't know.
Host: Was there sex?
Uncle Luke: Of course there was sex.
Host: You're saying that all this was going on and you weren't clear as to whether these were adults?
Uncle Luke: I wasn't clear whether or not they were adults. And I wasn't clear whether or not I wanted to be in that kind of environment with some of these other things that was going on.
A few days ago there was a post that a 18-19yo Wimbeldon star dropped out to hole up at Mar-a-Lago. It was in the papers. All of this has been in plain sight. There was also the deposition by a child in 2016 who said Trump raped her, which I hadn't ever heard of, but apparently was widely known.
