Another way to look at this is that Lively supporters are not mean enough to go comment-bomb someone's mother's Day post, regardless of whether they like or dislike that person.

Meanwhile, Blake walked from a restaurant to her car on Saturday and Baldoni supporters think it's evidence of espionage or shows what a terrible person she is. Baldoni supporters bombed the ratings of her movie before it was even released, something that impacts not only Blake but all the many other people who helped make that movie.

I'm glad you found his MD post heartwarming. The world needs positive vibes. But if Blake posted a positive, kind message on Mother's Day and left the comments open, you and others would swarm it to call her names, a bunch of TikTok creators would make content about how it was actually an example of her being entitled and narcissistic, etc.

I think Blake’s supporters seem to have a real problem with her being held accountable for her actions. When you do the things Blake has done, it’s going to draw a public reaction. You don’t just get to go about your day doing publicity stunts at donut shops and pap walks and expect the same public adoration you’ve grown accustomed to. I think this is a big reality check for Blake and her relatively few “supporters” (most of whom I believe are supporting what they think she represents while overlooking the glaring issues with her claims). To the extent that she still has “fans” it’s because the vast majority of people simply aren’t paying attention to this at all. Those who are appear to be overwhelmingly team Justin. Ray Charles could see that.

So to be clear, you think her punishment for whatever it is you think she's guilty of is that if she walks from a building to a car within sight of other people, she deserves to have her clothes, general appearance, facial expression, and intentions in making said walk ripped apart online? You think that is how we hold people accountable in society when we as individuals (not courts of law, Lively has not been found guilty of anything) decide someone is a bad person who has done bad things?

So for those of us who believe Lively and think Baldoni is in the wrong here, we should start making fun of his hair, his clothes, his wife and children, the expressions he makes, assuming everything he does has an ulterior motive and that nothing he does is genuine or innocent or even neutral? Is that the solution?

She wasn’t just walking to her car. She CALLED the paparazzi. She wanted the publicity. She’s welcome to grab a coffee any day without calling the paps. Problem solved.

Dude. People commented on her outfit. No one has made fun of her kids on here. Why do they you insist on lying??
Do you care so much about the Lauren Sanchez thread where people comment on her looks for page after page? You don’t, do you?

Go back a few pages. Lively was papped walking to a car in NYC on Saturday, and look how JB supporters in this thread responded to this.

PP
Just go away. As always, you are exaggerating. No one accused her of espionage. People commented on her outfit. She’s a celebrity. That’s the deal. Get over the fake victimhood please.

This is terrible for Blake. Either she is proven a liar once again, or she did in fact use Taylor to pressure people. Either way, she looks bad.

Blake should just settle this mess.

There’s also a new daily mail article clarifying that Taylor does in fact blame Blake for dragging her into this and not Justin.

Yes, I saw that, not a good look, and it might explain why the pro Blake lively poster(s) on here (who sometimes claim they’re not pro BL) are off trying to get this thread shut down again. Check out website feedback.

They are relentless in reporting posts and fabricating reasons to Jeff that this thread should be shut down, and Jeff obviously doesn’t have time to sort through it all.

Just a word to the wise. I’m not sure how to handle other than trying to defend what this thread is about. Of course it veers off to chatter and gossip occasionally- this is a celebrity thread after all- but there is nothing wrong with that, and it’s not like all the other threads on Celebrity don’t also include normal gossipy chatter.

The problem with accusing some of the posts as being gossipy is that this is not just a case that has legal implications, it has major public relations implications as well.

At the end of the day, I have no doubt that both teams will be able to pay the lawyers no matter what happens and will go on about their lives. No one is going to jail. But it is interesting to see career implications and how the public reacts.

Public relations is not frivolous. Go to the politics discussion and you’ll see the same the thing. How the public responds makes or breaks careers, brands, decisions etc.

When we get public statements from Taylor’s team, that is also not gossip. Yes that has to do with the legal case, but it also has to do with Blake‘s image since her friendship is obviously a very important part of public image.

Further, even though the New York Times is unlikely to face legal ramifications from this, if Meghan Twohey does not put out stories for a year because of this, if people don’t go to the times to share their SH related stories anymore, and if times subscriptions continue to plunge because people are fed up with the biased reporting, that actually is important and worth discussing.

And it is absolutely fascinating to look at how this case is being shaped in the public in 2025 with social media influencers and podcasters versus 10 years ago, which was a totally different landscape and controlled by legacy media. All these things are worthy of discussion. I’m sorry if it makes Blake‘s team uncomfortable, but that’s not our problem.

Agree. Well put.

I was just pointing out the irony of that poster trying to get this thread shut down because we are ‘gossiping’ or ‘engaging in speculation’. As if that is somehow wrong or illegal and as if that doesn’t occur in many threads. There are so many other snarky threads on here that apparently don’t bother that poster…

The work of Nick Shapiro.

PP, who is that? I follow this case but not all that closely…

Nick Shapiro is the ex cia agent that Lively hired.

How do we know this?

If you're asking whether she hired him, that is confirmed. https://www.eonline.com/news/1414133/blake-lively-hires-cia-alum-nick-shapiro-amid-justin-baldoni-legal-case

What exactly he does for her is speculation.

How ironic that she is suing over the use of PR, and yet has no problem pulling the same moves (or worse)

———
“Though it is standard for celebrities like Lively and Baldoni to work with crisis PR when they are enmeshed in a conflict, the actress’ team was highly critical of the director’s use of the behind-the-scenes professionals last summer ahead of the film’s opening”

(Pro BL poster(s)- please don’t accuse me of ‘plagiarism’ here. I’m putting the language in quotes /s/ )
