Being right isn't Aug haters goal, misleading is, that's why he can't cite anything, ever that proves anything he blathers on about.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Us club and USYS are working towards a merger and yes I’ve heard college showcases would no longer affect rankings for ECNL and will allow players to play with their school grade only Juniors/Seniors. You also have to be age eligible for either U19 or U18.
ECNL admin team is discussing this and will make decisions shortly could possibly be tabled until 27/28 season. But it’s coming.
So August play up guy will get what he wants eventually.
I think you mean age guy (mr usys) is trying to float rumors of GY showcases again.
Nobody wants this. Patents of correct grade players dont want 36 month older players playing down on their team taking up game time that they paid for
What are you not understanding about this… if you are U18 Aug-Dec 2008 and Jan-July 2009 you will either play U17 if you’re a junior and U19 if you’re a senior for showcases.
That’s not 36 months so stop saying that.

More "rumors". Doesn't mean much.
What do think will happen if USYS joins ECNL? They're going to take the top teams and everyone else will be either B or maybe even C teams. Not much benifit for USYS unless you consider going away a positive. Might make sense on the boys side. Doesn't make sense on the girls side.
It will be framed as collaboration. Similar to what you see them doing with their new NPL group structure. Giving top clubs in USYS a path forward is only a good thing for them and strengthens everyone when large groups work together.
More to come wait and see!
The irony is a lot of the USYS top clubs already put their top teams into GA or MSLN academy (with a shot at homegrown). They still are in USYS leagues but with their B teams.
