Yep, all those medals were a media creation.
"Gal?" And you're calling her washed up?

Medaling is hardly a whimper. She was still the best performing USA athlete in this event and that’s even with doing a dismount that was easier and wouldn’t aggravate her twisties. Without her, the USA wouldn’t have won anything at all on beam.
The GOAT is going home as the fourth most decorated US female gymnast from the Tokyo games. For someone who sewed a goat into her uniform, that is a whimper
Uh, no, she is at worst third-most decorated (Suni with a gold, silver bronze; Jade with a gold; Simone with a silver and bronze; MyKayla, Jordan, and Grace with silvers).
MyKayla has a silver that she actually earned. Simone has a participation silver
If Biles would have dropped out of the team event in time, who would have replaced her and earned a silver medal?
Jade Carey or McKayla Skinner most likely.
Neither one of them could've been subbed in after the preliminary round.

There are facts in the story that cannot be refuted. She had an issue (physical and/or mental) that impacted her ability to do her routines (mostly twists) and that made it nearly impossible for her to compete. Most of us will never know what that's like so no need to comment or flame her for that.
- Those who like her will back her up
- Those who understand the physical and mental issues that she is going through will back her up
- Those that have never competed won't understand and their support depends entirely on whether or not they like Simone
It is what it is. The olympics will be over soon and we'll all move on to something else to argue about.

a silver
Not enough to be a legend. She will always be remembered for pulling out.
Not so much for her other accomplishments
It is a pity she didn't quit earlier. By quitting this late she took an opportunity away from someone else
If you know so much about the sport, please name who she took the opportunity from?
We all we wait…
I’ll help you….no one. She was the highest QUALIFIER. Meaning no other American gymnasts qualified/earned scores high enough to take her place. But we’ll still wait for your google skill to kick in.
Does the Olympic team not have a sports psychologist?
If she had dropped out earlier she would have given someone new an opportunity to maybe even be in the Olympic team
This could not have been a surprise to people close to her. There was plenty of time

Rules don't apply to the annoying diva.
