If we stay closed Russia will jump to number one and The Orange Idiot can’t have that. If the U.S. is going to continue leading the world as The Orange Idiot wants we’ve got to open up and spread more cases.
I'm getting to the point where I don't believe any reported numbers.

Are you a moron? Accidents, Lyme, drowning, heart attacks, falls and murder ARE NOT CONTAGIOUS! You can take whatever risks you want and it (mostly) doesn't affect others. You CAN however, infect lots of other people with SARS-CoV-2 -- even if YOU have no symptoms -- simply by choosing to be an entitled ash-hat.
Flu and norovirus (I think that's what you were trying to say, right?) have treatments available. COVID-19 does not. Your analogy is invalid.
I am sure the medical community would be surprised to hear that they are unnecessary during the COVID-19 pandemic. I don't know we are wasting PPE on them if there aren't any treatments.

Opening up is fine, but these losers who are packing into bars and having big parties and refusing to wear masks indoors are going to end up ruining it for everyone. No sense of moderation or self-control. It's like they think it's cool to be an inconsiderate jackass.
How so? Elderly and sickly aren't supposed to be taking in visitors, especially healthy visitors who are back in society.
If YOU are at risk, then get a doctors note and stay at home indefinitely if you want. Maybe there will be a vaccine or treatment some day, maybe not.
40% of Americans are obese, 10% have diabetes (and another 33% have prediabetes), almost 50% of adults have high blood pressure, 10% have chronic lung disease, 5-10% have a clotting disorder - that's a lot of people who have to "stay at home" while you selfish douchebags prance around unmasked, crowding each other like a bunch of animals in heat.
Instead, how about trying to behave like mature adults, follow the rules, try to avoid getting or giving an infection. It's not a perfect system, but it's better than not even trying.

Under section 361 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S. Code § 264), the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services is authorized to take measures to prevent the entry and spread of communicable diseases from foreign countries into the United States and between states.
Invalid, particularly at the governor level, to lock down a state.
Incorrect again. You really can’t be bothered to check for yourself? Or you think Fox News or Rush Limbaugh are trustworthy authorities on the law? And medicine, and public health? You’re the sheep they depend upon.

This is the part that makes me so angry. Lots of the idiots protesting don't want to go back to work themselves. They want ME to have to go back to work and risk MY life and the life of my kids and my parents so that they (protesters) can get a haircut or a beer.
much easier and safer to stay home on the dole.
