The WSYL rules require a team to be under an existing program's name and rosters to be filled with kids within 100 miles of that program's central office.
By using VLC, Black Ops can reach into Richmond (as well as Baltimore) for talent but NL and DCE don't extend that far.

Also any idea when VLC typically has tryouts for the season?

It takes patience but it works. 2025 team in only two years old as a straight 25 team and they are really coming along and competing very well.
How is the 2025 team doing this fall? Sounded like (from posts) they had a tough summer but had a great tryout, and carry a large roster. Are there still opportunities there? I have also heard about Top Caliber as an option and they have an A an B team in Northern VA at this age?
VLC Sklz and Drlz is a great way to get a sense of who VLC are without any issues. Kids from other programs come every winter. https://www.instagram.com/p/CHrLZUYhtCa/
